Spaceship Super offers three types of insurance cover:
Death Cover (including Terminal Illness)
Death cover provides a lump sum payment to your beneficiaries if you die from causes such as illness, accident, or natural causes. A Terminal Illness benefit is automatically included with death cover and is an advance payment of death cover. This benefit is paid when you are diagnosed by two medical practitioners (one of whom specialises in your illness) with less than 24 months to live.
Death cover is available under Automatic Cover and Voluntary Cover.
Total and Permanent Disablement (TPD) Cover
TPD cover provides a lump sum payment if you become totally and permanently disabled. TPD cover is available under Automatic Cover and Voluntary Cover.
Income Protection Cover
Income Protection Cover provides a monthly benefit if you become disabled or partially disabled due to illness or injury and are temporarily unable to work. Benefits are paid after your chosen waiting period for up to two years. Available under Voluntary Cover only.
