Distributions from your Spaceship Voyager portfolio are generally made once a year. We calculate them on or around 30 June each year, with payment or reinvestment happening within 90 days. How you receive yours depends on which portfolio you hold.
What is a distribution?
A distribution is your share of a portfolio's income (such as dividends and interest earned by the investments in that portfolio).
How your distribution is paid
Spaceship Universe Portfolio and Spaceship Origin Portfolio
For these two portfolios, you can choose how your distribution is handled through the Distribution Reinvestment Plan (DRP).
If you opt in to the DRP, we'll automatically issue you additional units in your portfolio instead of paying the distribution to your available money balance. If you don't opt in, your distribution (if any) will be added to your available money balance, which you can view in the Spaceship app.
Your DRP election is specific to each portfolio, so you'll need to set it separately for each one. You can join or leave the DRP at any time through the app. To apply your election to a given year's distribution, it needs to be active at 11:59pm (AEST) on 30 June of that financial year.
Spaceship Earth Portfolio, Spaceship Galaxy Portfolio, and Spaceship Explorer Portfolio
For these portfolios, distributions (if any) are always reinvested. We do this by issuing you additional units in your portfolio, so your distribution goes straight back into your investment.
A few things to know
There's no guarantee that a distribution will be paid in any given financial year. Whether a distribution is paid, and when, is at our discretion.
