How do I roll my super out of Spaceship Super?

Written by Kayla

There are two ways to transfer your super out of Spaceship Super: an electronic rollover through your new fund, or a manual form submitted to us. The right option depends on your preference and the type of fund you're transferring to.

Electronic rollover

The most common option is to request an electronic rollover through the super fund you’d like to transfer to. Your new fund will manage the process on their end.

If you’re transferring to a self-managed super fund (SMSF), you can also start the process through your myGov account.

Rollover Initiation Request form

If you’d prefer to submit a form, complete the ATO Rollover Initiation Request form and email it to help@spaceship.com.au.

Transferring to an SMSF

If you're transferring your super to an SMSF, you'll also need to provide:

  • Certified identification.

  • A PDF copy of your SMSF’s bank statement.

  • A hand-signed form — we can't accept digital signatures.

What happens next

Once we've processed your request, we'll send you more details so you can complete your rollover.

There are a couple of things worth knowing before you start:

  • If you have insurance cover through Spaceship Super, it will be cancelled when the rollover is complete.

  • Your Spaceship Super account will close once your full balance has been transferred.
