When you first join Spaceship, you’ll be asked to link an Australian bank account. This linked account will be used to fund Spaceship transactions such as one-off investments, recurring investment plans, and adding to your ‘available money’ balance.
There are two payment methods available:
Direct debit: The default option for all transactions, it works with all Australian banks.
PayTo: A faster alternative that offers near-instant payment processing with participating banks.
If you’ve set up both direct debit and PayTo, we’ll automatically use PayTo when available. If PayTo isn’t supported for a particular transaction, we’ll fall back to direct debit.
Can I link more than one bank account?
You can only link one bank account to fund your Spaceship account at a time. However, if you’re using our Boosts feature (available with Spaceship Voyager), you can connect multiple bank accounts to track spending and activate boosts — even though only one account is used for funding.
