To open a US Investing account with us, we need you to provide us with your Tax File Number (TFN).

Spaceship is authorised to collect your TFN under the Taxation Administration Act 1953 (Cth), for the purposes of arranging for a US W-8BEN tax form to be completed for you.

It is not an offence to refuse to provide your TFN, however if you choose not to provide us with your TFN, we will be unable to open a US Investing account for you.

You'll need to provide this even if you've already provided it as part of opening a different Spaceship account, such as a Spaceship Voyager account.
