At Spaceship, we strongly believe in the power of dollar-cost averaging, and we want to help our customers leverage dollar-cost averaging to steadily grow their wealth over time.

That's why we charge a monthly fee instead of a 'per trade' brokerage fee for our US Investing service.

We're aiming to remove financial barriers for those customers who want to harness our investment plans and regularly invest small amounts (or large, your choice!) over time.

Example: Let's say you want to invest $50 a week into Apple. That equates to 52 trades per year.

With Spaceship, the most you'll pay for those trades is A$48 (equal to A$4 per month for 12 months). If you're also paying our Spaceship Voyager monthly fee, the most you'll pay for those trades is A$24 (equal to A$2 per month for 12 months).

With XYZ Broker, you pay A$3 per trade. That means you'd pay A$3 x 52 trades, equalling A$156 in brokerage fees.

This example doesn't take into account the other fees incurred, such as the foreign exchange (FX) fee, which Spaceship and most brokers charge as part of trading.
