Multi-factor authentication (MFA) adds an extra layer of security to your account. With MFA turned on, you'll complete two verification steps at key moments (such as when you sign in) so we can confirm it's really you.
Verification methods include:
Email and password.
SMS message.
WhatsApp message.
How do I set it up?
If you haven't set up MFA already, you'll be prompted to do so in the Spaceship app. Just follow the steps when you see the prompt.
You'll need to verify your mobile number to receive your SMS or WhatsApp code, so make sure your number is up to date before you start. To check or update your mobile number, head to Personal information in the Menu section of the Spaceship app.
What happens if I enter an incorrect code?
If you enter the wrong code too many times, your account will be temporarily locked. You can try again after an hour, or get in touch with our customer support team.
What happens if I change my mobile number?
When you update your mobile number, you'll be asked to verify the new number using a one-time code sent via SMS. Once that's done, your MFA will be linked to your new number.
I'm travelling overseas. Can I still access my account?
Yes. If you're overseas, you can use WhatsApp as your verification method, as long as you can access WhatsApp on your verified mobile number.
